Job Summary:
The job holder is responsible for picking, prepping and dispatch of equipment from the Reading Warehouse, supervising the warehouse team where needed, on site technical delivery of events at London Venues as well as being the Fisher representative on site with clients when the PM is not present. The role provides an ideal opportunity to be ‘hands on’ with end to end delivery of jobs, both in a warehouse and on site delivery setting, but without the desk based (enquiries, quoting, pre-production) aspects of a PM role.
Main Duties:
Warehouse
- Select and prepare the correct equipment for each technical kit list, ensuring all equipment picked is clean, in proper working order and correctly labelledÂ
- Use warehouse software to scan equipment in and out for each job/dry hire to enable effective stock control for kit availability and location
- Pack flight cases carefully to ensure safety of equipment in transit and supervise loading and dispatch to ensure all kit is sent to site
- Manage returns to ensure all equipment is clean, in working order and returned to shelving, separating equipment needing repair and label accordingly
- Adhere to Warehouse H&S requirements at all times
- Ensure all warehouse documentation and administrative processes are completed effectively
- Respond to last minute equipment requests from Project Managers/Engineers on site ensuring requests are actioned promptly and effectively
- Complete general warehouse duties including cleaning and tidying all warehouse areas
On SiteÂ
- Transport kit to/from site in company vehicles including loading/unloading of flight cases
- Install basic technical equipment at a range of London venues, deputising for the PM during the event and in managing derigsÂ
- Be the ‘accountable person’ on site for clients and venue staff in the absence of a PM
- Present a professional image and face of Fisher with clients, venue staff and other suppliers
Job Holder Requirements:
Experience
-
- Significant experience in warehouse work within the live events industry
- Experience with a range of technical live event equipment: lighting, sound, video, power
- On site event production experience ideally in London venues including installs and derigs
Competencies
- Highly motivated, enthusiastic, team player
- Physically active and able to work at pace throughout the day (this is not a desk based role)
- Ability to prepare and operate a wide range of technical equipmentÂ
- Strong interpersonal skills – able to represent Fisher on site to high profile clients/venues
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Strong attention to detailÂ
- Resilient and able to anticipate and resolve last minute problems quickly and pragmaticallyÂ
- Computer literate with the ability to learn and assimilate new softwareÂ
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Full clean UK Driving licence essential to enable driving of company vehicles to/from site
- Forklift licence advantageous

- The role is physically demanding and requires the ability to work at height/lift heavy items
- Full UK driving licence essential for driving company vehicles to/from site (endorsements to be acceptable to the company’s insurer)
- Due to operational requirements the job holder is expected to work flexibly according to workload, with early starts, late evenings and weekend coverage required
